I guess depending on what these gates do, it's less risk for us to try the one at the top of the mountain rather than the one in the middle of a city as far as keeping a low profile goes.
( and frankly, if people were going to investigate the others it'd be better if they were more like spies than an invading force, which seems to be what rey was going for. subtle that girl is not.)
That would depend on if the people going know how to climb a mountain. From what I have gathered, Everest is one of this planet's most dangerous summits. Different kind of risk.
I will agree that it seems better suited for low profile, but New Oslo is a good place to pretend to be a tourist. It is what I have done in every other city we manage to visit.

Apparently it is difficult to plan for. Both ventures are essentially being dropped near coordinates and hoping for the best. All of the planning involves getting to the locations more than what to do after.

I have been looking into a series of earthquakes across the planet, and one of the leads is New Oslo. It could be a dead end, but I am taking advantage of the opportunity.
