There was a whole information dump, right before everything quite literally blew up, and it claimed the Cardinals chained the gods and gained power that way. Just as ours do here from the Blue one, I think the Cardinal powers came from the gods, but which god and how is a mystery. The kestrels came from the gold, I think it is safe to make that inference.
As for whether or not it's true, I do not know. The memories are very much real, but this Earth is reality. Perhaps the Aerie was an allegory, or a warning.
She has an ongoing interest. She is a good resource for it, and I am not biased just because she is my partner.
I will have to review this information dump but without a doubt, I agree, this Earth is reality
I am myself again
So was Zerzura also another warning?
And ah, your partner?
[ Is he not-so-secretly hoping that Cassian means what he thinks he means? Look, he might not know them the way he did in the Aerie, but that doesn't mean he can't root for them, right?
Incroyable, he is really turning into something of a sap. ]
There is always a lot to catch up on, even without the Aerie hanging over our heads. Give yourself time to sort through it.
I don't know what to consider Zerzura, and I would not bank on the Aerie as a warning. For now it is just one theory of many.
In every sense of the word, yes. She is my wife and partner. [ it sounds very casual, but they are gross and married, even if they haven't even known each other a whole year yet. he doesn't know booker in reality, but he knows him from the aerie, so maybe it makes it easier to just be honest. ]
I must admit, that is a nice thing to hear after everything in the Aerie
[ Which, yes, he will be gathering information on and reading up on it during his spare time. And considering his still-jobless state? He'll have enough free time, clearly. ]
[ oh hm. he doesn't... know what to do with this? with congratulations? he doesn't know what to do with people being... happy for him, for? being happy? this is almost stranger than anything he did in the aerie. ]
We are from the same galaxy, but we chose to get married here, at the end of May.
It makes sense to have found her again in the Aerie, but I much prefer the reality.
[ It's okay, Booker's having a hard time justifying the allowance to be happy too, but goddamnit, he's going to try. Cassian should too.
He'd spent so many years being resentful of what Joe and Nicky had, what he could never have again, and it cost him a lot more than he was ever allowed to bargain with. ]
Your story in the Aerie would have been a more tragic one
Not long ago at all, no. We have spent more time together here on Earth than our own galaxy.
[ he's known jyn for just under a year - the aerie makes it feel longer, in different ways. sometimes he feels like he's known jyn his whole life, when really it's only been a small fraction. maybe it's just all the pieces of themselves they see reflected in each other. ]
I am not sure anyone's story in the Aerie was meant to be happy. [ they found a little bit of joy in the end, he thinks, even if it all ended shortly thereafter. ]
I suspect the second bomb was put together more last minute. Ren and I built the first one - then I believe he took charge of building the second. It was not a bad opportunity to take advantage of, but communication between the kestrels seemed largely paper based.

It seems that world only showed us alternate versions of ourselves but none of those stories were happy ones

It is quite useful. Paper is easily disposed, and it is almost unfortunate that it is so rare on this Earth in comparison. We favored it heavily.
