If he recruited you, I am not surprised. He does a lot for the Rebellion behind the scenes. Alderaan has supplied a good portion of our fighter ships and navy arsenal, all under the Emperor's nose.

Is this a common experience? Sudden new memories?

It has been in use for some time. It tends to circulate across the sectors and people, to keep the agent from being caught.

Yes, I have met him, though he was likely much older than you remember.

The Alliance cut ties with him several years ago due to his methods. I would not have guessed he once served as a fulcrum.

His methods? What did he do?

His resistance to the Empire is too openly violent for what the Alliance publicly wants.

[ even as... intelligence does many of the same things, just behind the scenes. cassian never quite got over the hypocrisy of that. ]

What would be considered as "too violent"?

Some in the Alliance would call him a terrorist. Mon Mothma prefers to use extremist. I find regardless of who it is doing the rebelling, the Empire has designated all of us terrorists.

There was an incident several years ago on Inusagi. When the chieftess signed a treaty to align with the Empire, his partisans infiltrated the palace during a festival and killed all the guests alongside the imperials gathered inside, though the central target was the newly installed governor.

He wasn't always like that. I guess losing his sister changed him in more ways than I realized.

He had been fighting even longer than I had. I think the galaxy itself tore him apart in his quest to save it.

He's been a soldier almost as long as I have. I'm not surprised.

Twenty years of fighting the Empire will do it.

Twenty years of the Empire actually calling itself one. I know he was fighting before the Clone Wars ended too.

He was consistently zealous about the fight in ways the Alliance has not quite reached. I think it became all he knew.
